Unable to Launch MP 1.4
I recently upgraded to MP v1.4 and am having problems launching the program. I’m using a 27†iMac, 2.93Ghz i7 with 12 gigs of memory. Clicking on the alias in the dock, double-clicking on the program in the Applications folder, and double-clicking on the catalog all fail to open the program.
The Activity Monitor doesn’t show any Media Pro related apps running. I don’t find any Media Pro Preferences files or any Media Pro Cache files to trash.
This happened to me yesterday and I ened-up trashing and re-installing the program. I worked on a couple of catalogs and quit the program. Now, the first time I go to start up the program again, it won’t start.
Any one have any suggestions?
Thanks.

I have the same problem but with the previous version (1.3.2). Was working fine, tried to open it today, no joy. restarted, did all the usual tricks but it bounces once in the dock and then nothing. 0 -
Me too. I was just using MP 1.4 on a couple catalogs, closed it, came back to it an hour later and just got the one bounce then nothing. When this happened the other day, I reinstalled it to fix it, but do not want to have to do that every time.
As a long-time user (remember when iView was $25?), MP and its predecessors have been invaluable to my workflow. But there have always been annoying quirks, such as suddenly damaged catalogs in EM, and now in MP, the above and the fact that I fairly frequently get a catalog crashing or thumbnails not updating and staying fixed on the screen rather than scrolling. Am trying to be all MP, rather than running both MP and EM, but am starting to wonder...

I'm having the same problem. MP 1.4 works for a little while then just stops launching. Nothing happens when I try either open the application directly or open a file. I have to trash the application and re-download the program. I'm on a Mac, 10.6.8.
Annoying to be sure. Will drive me away from the program, which I've been using since the iView days. My old iView applications still launch...0
