Full size Previews?
Can CO7 generate full size previews? The benefit of being able to see previews for images that are off-line is great but would be better if we could zoom in to 100% properly.

It may be possible in the future but quite impractical.
To create a Full Res preview would take up an astronomic amount of space. Currently the small previews are approximately 1MB. A full res preview that you can access offline for full scale preview would be roughly 50% the size of the RAW and take time to build so it's much more accurate, space conscience and quicker to just reference the original RAW.0 -

Thanks for the reply and I appreciate what you say, I can already see that the size of my C1 catalog is fairly big and I am referencing files from an external drive.

I usually work with sessions. Catalog size is not a problem for everyone. Max preview image size is 5120, why not 100% (as Adobe Bridge)? Why cannot we decide the size of the preview? 100% zoom would be faster, and maybe the 1 or 2 seconds that CO takes to show the sharpness properly too.

How large is the resolution of your screen(s)?
