processing to a different folder
Hi,
I've noticed that C1 seems to require processing to a folder, (output folder), within the session folder. Is there a way to circumvent this and process to any chosen folder on a hard drive, internal or external?

Output advanced has two other options under "root folder":
Image folder: (the folder of currently viewed files - best used with subfolder option!!)
Select... : nominate a folder as destination for that recipe.0 -
Thanks James. I guess I was not changing the root folder option. 0 -
In the Library tab, right click on any folder and choose "Set as Output folder". The folder can be on any hard drive. Subfolders will still be created if you've chosen that option in the Output tab.

This workflow is great on a "per session" level but the option James described stays within the Process Recipe. So no matter what session you use, new or old, if you use that specific Process Recipe the file will go to the predetermined folder. This is great for quick references or populating a website where the root folder does not change.0 -

True, but if the specified output folder is on an external HD, and that HD is not mounted, then C1 does not process the files. I once copied a Process Recipe from a clients comp to mine. Unknown to me, he had set the output folder to a folder on his machine via the Advanced tab. C1 wouldn't process the files. Took me ages to work out why...0 -

The Process Summary, where the "Process" button is located, will always have the directory the file is processed to listed in full 😉0
