At the bottom of the Export Image dialog, in the "OPTIONS" section, uncheck the "Notify when Completed" check box.

This assumes that the Mac version is the same as the Windows version.

Not sure if this will stop the bouncing icon, though.

Thanks Richard but that checkbox doesn't appear to exist in the Mac version. LOCATION, NAMING, RECIPE are the 3 sections that I see in the Export dialog.

I do like your Vulcan image BTW.

This option does exist in the Mac version, but it's not a checkbox. Bottom left of the import dialog there is a drop-down with three options
    - never open import collection
    - notify when done
    - open collection when import starts

I do see those 3 options on Import but I'm doing a "Export Variant" operation and I don't see them there.

It certainly seems that the option must exist and I just can't find it.

I'm sorry - I should have read your post more carefully. I can't see it in the export dialog either.

However, have you considered using the process approach to create JPGs, TIFFs or whatever? That just does it without any notification needing to be okayed. (And again, apologies if that doesn't fit what you are trying to do.)

I'm not sure what is meant by process approach. My workflow is to do initial corrections in CPO then I export to Photoshop as a PSD for additional work. Are you referring to Process Recipes?

Yes, I am thinking that you can set up a process recipe to your liking, for instance to output in PSD format, disable sharpening (if, say, you prefer to do your sharpening in photoshop) etc, etc. Then you select that recipe, select all the images you want to treat that way, and hit either the process button in the process tab, or the cogwheel button on the toolbar (or Cmd-D). C1 will process them all into PSDs and won't bother you with a reminder when it's done.

I set up a process recipe and this appears to work, thank you for the tip.
