Camera Update...

Camera registration in Capture One is a bit of a gray area, but I can give you my view on the matter.

Registration takes place as soon as you have tethered with you camera to Capture One and the registration is stored in your Phase One profile on a Phase One server. The idea behind this is that camera firmware and the tethering component related and are best kept in sync. New firmware is tested against the tethering component and any update may appear in the update screen of Capture One.

Updating however is the user's own task and not driven by the registration process. As a result, go to Canon website, download and install the firmware. Next, tether your camera to Capture One to allow the registration to update.

This is how I think it works...

From some images I received from a friend recently, I noticed that the colors are of the Canon 7D in CO6 are awful. It is beyond discussion, and you won't get a harsh statement from me that often if ever on this.

Drop Phase One a note in a support case and request a version 2 profiling.

In the mean time, go to the Color Editor and try to tweak colors. Once satisfied, save the result as a custom profile. You also might want to experiment with other camera profiles and rename one you like into a 7D profile name.

    Thanks for your help, Paul.

Using other camera profiles for the EOS 7D in C06 is what I have tryed already. But so far I havent found any, which is matching really good. A support case is a really good idea....
