Key Word search only in ACTIVE (not open/closed) catalog?
I only manage to use the Key Word search function in the active C1 catalog, but I would like to use it in all open catalogs, and, alternatively in all catalogs. Is that possible?

Hi,
I don't think so. Capture One works only on the opened catalog, whatever the function (adjustments, filters, processing,...) is.0 -

i thing it will bee possible if Phase one Capture One works with Apple OSX seid bei seid " Tag in Spotlight"
if you write Metadata with Apple Fotos you will get it found in Finder ?
tray to write keyword in the C1 IPTC Data field and you will find it backe in Apple Finder search Box !
its works for me when you switch C1 to session Mode !
why should this not works in a simple professional Application ?
i thing because C1 have a closed DB Catalog and all your Keywords information are been stored there . 😁0 -
Hi,
I think it must be possible but it depends on how you added the keyword.
Mind you I'm still on version 8 and there I have two ways of adding a keyword.
I can add it to the image via the keyword tool. Then it will be available in the catalogue/session wich the image belongs to.
If I add it via the keywords filter tool in the library tab it will be available independent of open catalogues/sessions.

I cannot use the filter tool to add a keyword to a picture; only to search for images that correspond to the key word.
How do you do it?0 -

Hi,
in the library tab the headline of the keyword filter tool shows a plus-sign on the right side.
If I click on it i get a dialogue where I can add a keyword. Mind you again: version 8 of C1.

Hi Frank and thank you for your effort.
I have no problem adding keyword(s) to an image.
My problem is that C1 only does a keyword search in the active catalog. I want C1 to search for the selected keyword(s) in all catalogs, in the active one, plus in the open but not active one(s), and also in the catalogs that are neither active nor open.0 -

Hi ..
1. are you working with C1 Catalog or C1 Sessions Catalog ?
2. you have a aktive catalog ! and wont to look inside it but the same time inside a hidden Catalog thats not already opened in C1 !
3. as far i know , C1 can only manage one Active catalog at the same Time !
solution:
1. open 2 catalog at the same Time on your Mac using El- Captan and 27" Monitor and jumping from one to authors on the same screen " Mouse Move"
2. tray in your Main active Catalog to reference the other one in C1 of left menu click + and show your path were the catalog DB stored , i did'nt test it because i works only with sessions and its works fine.0
