PS saved TIFFs showing exclamation mark in C1
I exported a file from C1 to edit in PS (right click, edit with - Photoshop, TIFF, 16bit, ProPhoto). I edited it in PS then saved it back to C1. I received an exclamation mark in the file thumbnail and the same in the preview window. Thinking this might be a layer issue I then flattened the file in PS leaving just the background layer and saved it to C1. Same problem. I've tried regenerating the preview and closing/opening C1. No joy, and no help whatsoever within the app as to what the issue might be, which is quite frustrating.
Can anyone explain why I am unable to save TIFF files from PS back to C1 and then have the thumbnail and preview display correctly? I'm on a Mac Pro and I've enabled TIFF editing in preferences. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you go 'Edit With' from CO, the tiff immediately shows up in CO's browser bar. I assume that one is without exclamation mark, and the exclamation mark appears right after saving (overwriting) it from PS?

First thing that comes to mind is the transparency layer. Make sure the transparency, or alpha, layer is turned off.
Perhaps otherwise check the permissions.0 -
I've just reopened the file and deleted three alpha channels. They weren't enabled, just saved selections. Resaved it and it now shows fine in C1. Does that mean I cannot save a TIFF file that has alpha channels in it? 0 -
Yes, that's correct. CO doesn't understand alpha channels, active or inactive. Pixel layers are OK. I didn't expect alpha layers in a flattened image.

Okay, thanks for your help guys. At least I got to the bottom of it. 0
