Where are the development setting kept?
I need to be able to tranfer files between 2 locations and to keep all of the relevant settings intact but I can't find where these are stored on a PC, the Mac I believe stores a file for each raw image the the same directory.
I've tried this with Bibble and RSE who both store a small settings file along with the image but C1 doesn't seem to do this.
How can I ensure that tranferred files keep the settings intact?

sjedwarz,
You will use the Archive tool to do this. The data is within the Work files. These are the Thumbnails and tagged .C1w

The above link is to a Forum post where we discuss this in detail. It should help you out. Please don't hesitate to post more questions or ideas here.

Thanks very much for the quick reply.
But this is a bit cludgy (sp?) at the best, how about storing the work file in the same directory as the RAW file as in the Mac version and other converters.
That way the image and settings are always together regardless of where they are. It also make it much easier to manage.0 -
I guess there are pro's and con's with both implementations.
I personally prefer the way it works now in the windows version. Now I can move the raw files between folders and backup media without having to think about where the work files are. If I want to save the work files with my raw files I use the archive option. And to backup all work files I only have to care about one folder that holds all work files.
Some people prefer the Mac way though and there has been requests to change the windows version to be like the Mac version.
But please Phase One, if you change the way it works today please make it an user configurable option.0
