Videos don't play in slideshow

Each video is displayed as still image
Version 1.3 on Mac OS 10.6.8
Videos play fine in the three view but not in slideshow.
Tried avi, mp4, m4v, mov, nothing play, just show first frame of each.

    In my case, .mov files from Canon 5 mk2 are running nicely in Win XP.

    I doubt to be the only one to see that.
    Since according Lenni this problem does not exist in Win, will it be possible that other Mac users to verify?
    May also if exist some humanoid at P1 🙄

    All video files do not play in the Thumb or Preview for me. Running Mtn Lion 10.8.5 and MP 1.4.1
    Not impressed with this software in the slightest!!

    Same configuration and it works in all modes.
    (avi, mp4, m4v, H264 Xvid ...)

    What type of video you use (container, codec)?
