What happened to color noise reduction?
In previous version of C1 I really liked the feathure of color noise reduction - when I did it up to 100%, the color noise was removed, being transformed into nice film grain. In the new version it doesn't do the same, when I do color noise removal up to 100% - the picture looks awful... how can I get back this feature?? Or maybe I do something wrong?

?? Looks great to me here. I tend to shoot a lot at higher iso's to bring in ambient light when shooting on location with a flash. So, trust me, I pay attention to the chroma and luma noise. 😊 Could be something else? Or, happen to solve it?

This is an interesting topic. On some low ISO shots, I can crank-up the color noise reduction to 100% with little difference to the photograph, however on high ISO shots where color noise is apparent, at 100% noise reduction the photo is not useable. 0 -
... but to pabnj, as I understand it, CaptureOne's noise reduction has always been adaptive according to the ISO a photo is taken at (ie: if you had two identical photos with the same settings in C1, where only the ISO differed, you would get different results). I am not surprised that, with PO overhauling its imaging processing engine in v4, that there are differences like described by cynique. PO did try very hard to balance improvements with consistency to previous versions, and most people are mostly pleased, but some differences like this were probably inevitible. 0 -
Please do not get me wrong, I am hugely please with C1 v4. This is an area I am struggling a bit though, trying to balance noise reduction with detail. It seems I had easier time of it in v3. I am not complaining though, I am getting the hang of it. 0
