Isn't it understandable that they can't promise and confirm things?
I'm quite sure that Phase will not stave of their clients with camera updates until V4 pro will be released. And will raid the market for the competitors (eg ACR 4.2 is out now with update for new 40D and new Sony A700).
But if you want: nothing more than speculation 😉0 -

I didnt mean my comment in a nasty way but we all know PO wont confirm anything and go very quiet when asked.
After all c1V4 LE was due out early this year and even though people kept asking PO wouldn't even tell us what's going on.
I also remember last year when C1 V3.7.5 was supposed to support the 400D and i and lots of others were getting colours that were way, way off. So it didnt even look like PO had tested it out before releasing it. so if it took two updates to get that right how long do we have to wait for the 40D support while PO are also working on getting V4 sorted.
Of course i hope im wrong but doubt it.0 -
Well now Adobe have caught up and ACR/LR will now open 40D RAW's.
So i cant see how hard it will be for PO to do the same.0 -
Yeah - I agree. PhaseOne really seems to loose ground. Lightroom & ACR can already handle the 40D.
After PO V4 Beta has been delayed over 6 months it´s hard to believe that they keep their promises like "soon" 😭

HI-
(edited misquote above)
We hear all of your frustration. The simple fact is we do not know when the support for this camera will be. Its the truth of the matter until we can tell you differently. The camera is only a couple of weeks out. Your exercise in patience will only reward you with the better RAW converter.

Standard reply then.
ACR,Bibble, Breezbrowser all support the 40D so please, none of this its only been out a few weeks.
I can understand it takes a while but PO are always giving excuses rather than either facts or even saying we are sorry for the delay etc.0 -

And why don't you use one of them? Don't you like the workflow and output results? Take the "I can do RAW too"-plugin ACR and save your RAW-files to convert them again when C1 update is out.[quote="JRA" wrote:

I think your missing the point.0 -
Wrong.
Don't see any excuses here at all.
Fact: this camera model will be supported. Period. Can't be made any clearer than this.
Sorry if folks want a month, week or a day that this DSLR will be implemented, but this Will Never happen ...Has Not happened in past, and will Not happen in the future.
Search the Forum threads,
try Coordinate or Immediate Gratification or 5D or 20D...
... this is the same cryin' violin again and again when a brand new camera model is not supported according to ones timliness expectations and this constructive User to User Forum becomes the Whiners Blog.
Man..., 🤭 it gets old.
Fortunately, most know and understand implementation takes time and wait patiently.
Whether any other program supports prior is irrelevent, because support will arrive and when the new camera files work in Capture One, they become quite content knowing that they now can get the best possible images from it.
Sincerely,
K C0 -

Now your talking.
You see, you only need t talk normally to us for us ot be pleased.
If your working on it then say so. its better to know its being done at some point rather than just be told how grat C1 is etc etc without any answer.
Yes , im moaning but not that C1 doesnt support the 40D. Im moaning at being told the camera has just come out. If thats the case please tell me why other compaies have no trouble getting something out quickly. Its always excuses or just ignoring users.
C1 might be the best in your eyes and while i agree its great, if people switch to using something else and get used to it they might not come back.0 -
I also wanted to ask if PO are working on getting sRAW to work with C1 as well as RAW from the 40D. 0 -
I would be happy if an update to version 3.7.7 would just come out and support my MKIII, that camera came out 4 months ago. I have to crop the outer edge of EVERY picture I process right now, and after 10,000 photos its very irritating. 0
