Newbie with flashing rectangle in lower left

I am trying to get started with Media Pro 1.01 in Windows 7 64-bit.

I tried a test and imported 314 RAW files. The grey rectangle in the lower left corner keeps blinking and a rotating gear in the lower right keeps going around. What's happening?

    The rotating gear is the signal that the items are being processed. If you want more specifics about what is happening click the Plus icon in the lower right corner (under the scroll bar arrow).

    I don't see a flashing rectangle in the lower left, however. ❓
