CO 12.1 Contact Sheet problems

Hey guys, I have been using CO for over 10 years and recently with 12.1 I cannot seem to make contact sheets.
I have been doing contact sheets in every version of CO since it was introduced.
I usually use this to make quick jpegs so my clients can pick images. I find it faster than exporting small Jpegs.
I just did a shoot with 12.1 and when I select my 5 stars and select all 450 images which are selected when I click make contact sheet it pops up and only one image is selected to make a contact sheet. I have tried it many times and it says all 450 images are selected but they do NOT get picked up in the contact sheet making window.
Does any body know why or what I might be doing wrong or if it has changed in 12.1?

  Is it to do with whether the edit all selected variants option is toggled on (the three stacked rectangles icon on the toolbar)?

  Thanks for your reply. No it was not. I tried again now and the contact sheet shows just one image but looks like it takes a long time to load, takes about 15 minutes to load the 450 pictures and when it is done I press export but it just close and the contact sheet folder on my desktop has no images or anything in it. Like I have said, I have done this a thousand times in the past and this is the first time this has happened? Maybe it is a Bug in 12.1. I am going to try and install the lastest version and see if it persist.

  I just tried the "Export Web Contact Sheet" function in 12.1.1, and found that it works correctly with about a half dozen JPEGs from a Panasonic camera.
