copy and invert keeps the copied mask

    I tried, and no problem here. What I did is create a new layer (with the default name Layer 1), brushed a mask in in, and created a second new layer (Layer 2, indeed). I copied in the mask from Layer 1, and inverted it. Looked quite as the inverse mask to me. So what are you doing exactly?

    thanks for your reply and sorry i was off for a while...

    so what i am doing is exactly the same as your description and indeed there is the result of an inverted mask, but....
    if i have a closer look, there is clearly the layer 1 mask still there in the layer 2 and the inverted is also visible with double density compared to layer 1.

    is there a way to upload pix so i could show you?
