Activate OpenCL via Script or Preference Pane?
In Capture 8, I was controlling OpenCL via the script found in the knowledge base article:
• Mac 10.11 UPDATE: Run this script instead “ToggleOpenCLMacOS10.11.app†- disable OpenCL and restart Capture One Download here: http://kbfiles.phaseone.com/05-01-2016_ ... MacOS10.11[1].zip
In Capture 9 should I continue to activate this way or revert to activating via the C1 preferences?
Cheers,
K

Do you still need to de-activate OpenCL or for some purpose switch it on and off?0 -
At the moment, the machine (2012 MBP, OSX 10.11.4, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512 MB) runs well with OpenCL enabled (even considering the paltry graphics card). That being said, I'd like to know where I stand should I need to switch on and off.
Just curious if Capture 9.1.1 has 10.11 OpenCL switching built into the preference pane.

It's not using your graphics card. They said it needs to be 1GB minimum so it will be off either way.0 -

The Windows version has always had the option to switch Hardware Acceleration on and off using the Preferences function ever since the ability to make use of OpenCL was added. I thought the Mac version was the same other than when some sort of problem stopped the application starting at all due to problems with OpenCL and certain GPUs - which is why the script was required to turn off OpenCL before C1 could start up.
