Pro6 to 7, disappeared registered settings
All preferences defined in 6 disappeared on the newly installed 7, notably file name registered ones and the rapid personalized Q button… can it be?

Capture One 6 and Capture On 7 do not share the same preferences. They are separate.
This is to allow Capture One 6 and Capture One 7 to co-exist on a single computer.
The workspace that you had in Capture One 6 however, can be carried over in Capture One 7. Simply find it in the Windows>Workspaces option.0 -
I'd rather prefer to have the possibility to have my old preferences back than to have 6 and 7 coexisting (why should they, it's another story…). So, there's no way to get my old preferences back? 0 -

Thanks but I'm not talking about workspaces but, for instance:
- file/image naming presets
- the Q (rapid) menu's content/configuration
- highlight and lowlight alerts
- ...
All things that can be redone/configured but still...0 -

As, up until this point, all you have mentioned is the Quick Menu I have offered you a solution for that should you have saved the setup in Capture One 6 as the Quick Menu is in fact part of your workspace.
Regarding the two other, new, items you wish to retrieve I am sorry to say that they will need to be reset.0 -
done, as well as ALL other preferences, it might be good weather on future releases this problem will be taken into consideration.
