1/ Switch between full image preview, and grid (thumbnails) view. As easy as double clicking a mouse in LR. In C1Pro, do I really have to press Alt+Cmd+V to exit the viewer, and return to thumbnails grid, or is there a faster gesture?

You can define your own shortcuts so you must hit one single key only to change back to grid, e.g. "G".

2/ Quickly zoom in on an image to 100%, or 200% (or any other pre-selected magnification) (as easy as ONE mouse click in LR), but do I really have to press cmd and + to step through all zoom levels till I reach 100% or 200%, or else press Z and then again start clicking away on an image? Is there a quick shortcut to zoom in to 1:1 view at least?

You can select the hand cursor tool (H key). If selected a double click will zoom to 100% directly, another double exit 100% view again.

So you only need two keys and a double click to switch from grid to 100% view and back again. I think it should be fast enough 😉
