Not yet, it seems, otherwise it would be available on this site: http://www.phaseone.com/en/SupportMain/ ... ls_CO.aspx
I was expecting they did a bit more for the DAM side of their fantastic converter but it appears, for 300$ you can only expect to get a proper converter. A trainer said, you still need MediaPro additionally if you want to keyword seriously. Which makes the whole "solution" pretty expensive. 528€ altogether and still in many aspects worse than competition. Obviously it's possible to make that money - or maybe to sell something on discounts.

I don't want to be compelled to buy and use a second system to maintain my keywording, irrespective of cost. I want a single, comprehensive, integrated solution, such as Lightroom provides - and I'm not even a pro!

Same here - no pro, but the desire for ONE system, and it has to be good AT DAM, too. The way I see it, only Aperture (coming to end of lifetime) and Lightroom remain in that league. There are dozens of RAW converters, some DAM but only one all-in-one solution remaining. I wonder why nobody takes the chance. But if I read our comments here - of all users - I also discover some comprehension that nobody dares to take the challenge,

Same as you, this is something that stills bothers me. Keywording in C1 is still at a basic level. I tried to apply then easily incorporating Photo Mechanic 5 to my workflow, applying keywords from a list is easier, but also by no meaning as easier as in Aperture or even Lightroom, however after applying the keywords to .xpm files, and loading them into C1, I found that there was no consistency, sometimes they were in the correct hierarchy and sometimes were not all of them applied/imported. I don't know, still not happy with this important part of a workflow.

I'd love to trial C1 v8 to see how far it's came since v7. I'm sure there will be many improvements in v8 including the updated user interface which looks very exciting but, from the forgoing comments, it doesn't seem as though the key area of shortcoming identified in my previous trial will have been addressed to any worthwhile extent.

It takes a lot of time to properly trial products such as these (which I'm perfectly willing to invest) as it would be a big commitment to move across from LR. However I'm thinking I'll just go back to a watching brief and not expect the significant image management improvements I would need until v9, as perhaps it would be too much to expect a 'dot release' to address these.

I've also found the ordering of keywords to be random when viewing in other applications. What you see in C18 does not always look the same when viewing in PS. Also, if you save keywords in a specific order in Photo Mechanic, they do not show up in that order in C1.

If they could combine the best bits of both C1v7 & 8 while adding some extra bits it would be a lot better.

For keywording, I'd love to see...
    1. From C17. To be able to manually drag the groups of keywords around and be able to place them in a specific order rather than forcing them to be in Alphabetical order.
    2. Keep the new auto suggestion and hierarchal approach from C1v8. The auto suggestion is much improved and doesn't try and take over.
    3. Be able to resize the keyword area without having to close down the other Metadata field.
    4. Be able to save groups of keywords as a preset and be able to paste them to existing keywords rather than replacing all that are currently there.
    5. To have the confidence that the ordering of keywords in C1 will look the same in ALL applications.

I'm trying to make C1v8 fit my requirements (trial version at the moment) but as it stands, not being able to do 1 & 5 is making it impossible to mover from C1 Pro v7. I could use Photo Mechanic but if I'm adding a separate keywording system, it opens up the possibility to use several other Processing Tools that don't have any management function. I'd prefer to keep it to one app.
