Thumbs only browser window

I am using a two monitor set up with a viewer window on one screen and the browser on another. I would like to have just the thumbnails showing on the browser but I don't know how to get rid of the "preview" of the selected image which is a duplicate of the viewer image. Hopefully this can be done.
