Understanding what Happens on Import - Noise Reduction?

    By default sharpening and noise reduction are applied on import. The values applied are the default values. You can see it when you go to the respective tools. You can alter any value. If you prefer other values in the long run, you can define them as new defaults.

    If that is the case then WOW

    This alone has sold me on Capture One. I have edited a test image of my son which was shot at ISO 6400 on a X-Pro1. Without doing anything with Noise Reduction other than what is added on import by default, the images looks like it was shot at 400.

    I am totally blown away.

    I hope I find more gems like this whilst diving into C1.
