Modify an existing DSLR icm profile for another camera?

    Hi Tiberius,

What is it what you want to achieve. I mean, lets discuss the problem first before searching for a solution?

Is it that you like support for the NX2000 (assuming CO8 currently does not support it)? If so, a renamed or reworked profile won't help.

    Hello Paul!

Thanks for the prompt answer! Yes, is exactly what I want; to open the NX300 phase one profile in PM5 from Gretag and exchange the name with NX2000. Do you, eventually have an idea how the Phase One checks the validity of the modified profile? Background: it is boring to convert files to DNG first every time. The two cameras have exactly the same sensor.

    Have a nice evening!

    Yours - Tiberius

    Hi Tiberius,

As you mentioned before, it won't help you. It is not the name of the profile, internal or external alone that determines a raw file support.

I suggest you take the opportunity to request support for the camera if you not already did so. Next, you could try to change the EXIF data of the NX2000 images to make them look like a NX300. I have no experience in this area, but I know that some are using this technique successfully until native support is available.

Try a search in this or the Mac forum. Do not forget the CO7 subforums!
