P+ back Undeleted image files not read by C1

Just back from a trip that in the middle of it i through the phase one camera in the back pack and inside the motorcycle storage space (most likely on, and without lockin the buttons) and all the pictures in the card were deleted.

I managed to recover them on the spot to a hard drive, pictures seam to be ok (TIF files are read as usual by windows (that is... the small image)) and the file sizes look ok, but Capture One does not read them at all.

When opening the folder where they are capture one shows the "pictures size" as 4.2gb (below the system folders, under information), so it knows they are there But no pictures are displayed in the viewer or the browser.

Any idea how can i make C1 to read them? is there a particular Tag C1 reads that might be corrupted in the TIF files?

I still have that CF Card intact if case i need to undelete them in a particular manner or to try something different if necessary.

    Get us a few files through a support case, we'll let you know if they're salvageable.
    If the file size is OK then they're likely fine but might need a little love.

    Thanks for the reply, i got your case reply, uploading a few images as i write.

    Dcraw and linux cmd based tools seam to decode them correctly, just the phase one tags missing.

    Sadly it looks like exifvtool doesnt support adding tags to tiff files, im still investigating.
    But glad enough to know the information is there 😊
