Skin Tools
I don't understand how to use the skin tone tools in V5. I have a portrait plugin that I use within Photoshop that selcects skin and smooths out skin tone - great for female portaits. From what I read about V5, I can do this in Capture One? I have V5 installed but I just don't get it. What are the steps involved?
Also, the skin tone tool on the color tab adjusts the entire image and not just skin tone, correct? So if I want to just warm up the skin tone and leave the background unaffected, I cannot do that. Am I right?

I am also frustrated by this function. I set the "Uniformity" from 0 to 1, and did not see any change in skin tone.
At the same time, the redo/undo bug for Color Editor still persists.0 -
Asked a simular question in the MAC forum. Not understanding how this tool should work. Even in the posted video tutorial, I didn't see a change to the young boy's face when adjustment was made.
Can someone please explain/provide instruction for this tool.
Also a real example (hi-res) would be beneficial, as to the results that can be attained using this tool.
Can someone from PhaseOne post more detailed info?
Thx in advance.0 -

Mike311,
There are two skin tone tools in CO5, the first one is sets the white balance from the a known skin tone color, and the second is part of the color editor. There you'll see a skin tone tab to alter the skin tones of your subject skin tone without altering the rest of the photo. The Uniformity slider will give you a more uniform skin tone, however its effect is very subtle. I do wish Phase in a future next release give this function a greater effect.
Personally I am not a huge fan of setting a white balance from a skin tone, I'd much rather use the white balance tool for that, but I do like the skin tone tab in the color editor.0
