How to keep adjustments when archiving to a Disc
When ever I back up my C4 jobs to a DVD, It does not keep the adjustments I made. I copy the entire folder of the job along with the captureone folder, but when I check the DVD, the files are as they were prior to any corrections and adjustments. I don't remember this happening with LE. Any help would be great. HD is getting full, and I want to back it up anyway.
Thanks, Pete

Which files are you referring to in "the files are as they were prior to...".
The raw files should remain unchanged, however, the .cos files in the Settings folder should update with every time you changed one.0 -
Hi
What I'm referring to is when I make adjustments to my raw files, be it Exposure, rating, CC, etc. If you do not move the files from the original location that it was in when the adjustments were made, the adjustments are still with the files every time I open the files. Once the files have been moved, as when I archive them to DVD, any and all adjustments, including ratings are not present. The files are at the raw state as when they were first imported into the file.
The way I set up my workflow is I make the following :
A Folder for the job
In that folder I make a Folder called "Raw Files" and another one called "Exports", "Retouched files" (If needed) and one called "Finals to Lab"
Once I'm finished with the job I wish to only copy the "Raw Files " Folder to a DVD and if any Retouched Files are done.
With Photoshop Camera Raw, it make an associated XMP file and as long as you copy the file you will have the adjustments. I wish for the same with COne 4.
Does anyone know if I need to copy more files than just the Capture folder that is created by the program, in this case in my "Raw Files" folder?
Anyone out there have the same concerns or issues?
Thanks, Pete0 -
As I wrote previously, saving and restoring the settings files (inside the Capture One subfolder) will (or at least should) bring your adjustments back. 0 -
Hi Paul,
I just figured out that once the folder with the Raw files are written on a DVD, the adjustments are not viewable. Once I restore the folder from the DVD to a HD, the adjustments are again attached to the raw files.
Thank you,
