Inconsistent Auto Select Next Capture w Tethered Shooting

I'm using C1 for Mac and for Windows. I've used it on several computers and the newest one is a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet PC. Everything is fine except for one major problem: when shooting tethered to my 5D4, the tablet will not consistently show the most recent capture. In: Camera>Auto Select New Capture> I have it set to Immediately (with Auto Pause deselected) and some of the time the newest capture is selected but most of the time it does not advance to the next image. I've never seen this problem. Any ideas/solutions?
