why don‘t you just support a direct camera to ipad wifi connection?! that is what we would need.

    Thank you for your post.

    Some Phase One cameras provide the option for wireless connection with the iOS device directly.

    Capture Pilot application on an iOS device also supports an option to operate other camera models (PhaseOne, MamiyaLeaf, Nikon, Canon) wirelessly with the help of Camera Control that is available as an in-app purchase. Supported cameras can only be operated wirelessly from Capture Pilot when tethered to a computer running Capture One Pro. Read more in this article.

    but the question remains: 

    why don‘t you just support a direct camera to ipad wifi connection?

    only being able to do so with an additional laptop and tether cable makes no sense when you could do without all that and just work simply camera to iPad....
