Frustrated! (problems with C1 3.7.4 for Windows)
I had not used my version 3.7.3 for a while and went to use it when I received a message, \"Capture One for Windows 2000 and XP has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.\" Well, this is a message I have grown used to seeing. I followed the support's instructions to uninstall all of Phase One's files and then to install from the website. I did all this and since installing 3.7.4, I have had no luck with working software. I have been unable to work on RAW images without the program closing on me.
This does not happen more often when the computer has been running for a while. And it has not happened with ANY other software installed on my computer.
I have done a number of tests and have come to the conclusion that it is a defect within my software C1 3.7.4. I hve noticed other C1 for windows users have been having somewhat similar issues. I have tried the suggestions given to those users. Most recently, I followed the instructions (for the second time) given to me to clean my Windows based computer from all Phase One files and applications. Both times, now, with 3.7.4, it has acted consistent to the other. The program will run for about 10 minutes the first time opened and then with each opening from there on out the time shortens to the point of once it opens, I immediately receive the error message and it closes. Also, when I went to uninstall version 3.7.4, the files p1c1394.sys and p1c1394.inf were not there (my hiddens files were shown). These are files that I was instructed to delete the first time I performed the uninstallation process. Second time around, they are not there. Is this something that was supposed to reload once I downloaded/installed the software??? I went ahead with the installation (for the second time) anyway with the filesnot being there. I installed 3.7.4, worked on different images than before and once again, received the error message. I went back to see if the files (p1c1394) had shown up after running C1 and they had not. Are these necessary to a working software??? Please help! I have many things to get through and depend on this software to accomplish them. I would greatly appreciate some help from anyone with any knowledge to fix the problem. Also, I am curious if anyone else has been experiencing the same issues?

I've had no issues with 3.7.4 - it seems to behave identically to previous versions. I still think it would be nice if it functioned properly as a 32-bit application under Windows x64 without crashing due to memory problems, though! ☹️ 0 -
I have a very similar problem where Capture One 3.7.4 runs into a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Runtime Error and shuts down, I have been running C1 since 3.5.2 on the same machine under exactly the same conditions and upgradred to every version with absolutely no problems, things started to get horribly wrong with version 3.7.3 and the upgrade to the P45 back. 0
