9.1.2 Keyword xmp bug
9.1.2 and 9.2 Beta 2 both have this bug. Can't post on COP support site as it crashes, plus all my old cases some of which are still open are GONE! Clearly COP have an issue with support server.
Thought I was going mad when an album I was cataloguing "lost" all previous star ratings. Blamed it on my finger trouble. Then it happened again. A little bit of testing found the following bug.
Preferences - Auto sync sidecar xmp files = Full Sync (Please note any other setting does NOT cause this bug)
Any image with star rating already set - then add a keyword (existing or new) and when the xmp file syncs the star rating disappears from the image. The text in the amp file is also changed to reflect no rating.
Totally reproducible.
Set star rating and delete existing keyword - same issue.
Will try and post bug to COP support once site doesn't crash.

This is the reply from Phase One support:
Ok, I will admit capture one is a but unclear here. Your options with "Full sync" and then the two checkboxes unchecked
will have the consequense "Prefer embedded XMP over Sidecar XMP", and this will be synced down to your XMP, resulting in your star rating being removed.
This is not really clearly statet in the software.
You would need to check the "Prefer sidecar XMP over embedded metadata" for this not to happen.

Tested it and it does now work. So setting Full Sync and leaving both other boxes unticked causes an undocumented action to take place.0
