Tethering on the new Macbook Pro

I am having major issues shooting tethered with my P30+ back to my new Macbook pro. Annoyingly the new Macs don't have Firewire 400 so have to buy a adapter and it started working for about 30 min and now its not working at all. Tried with my old laptop and it works fine. Anyone else having this problem?

P.S Are Phase one going to start making 400 to 800 cables????

    Maybe a power supply issue. Have you done a search on this forum or P series forum?

    The adapter may be the issue here as anything other than a cable likely implements some software or firmware to operate or they are simply poor products. This could cause compatibility issues.
    You're better off just buying a 400 to 800 cable as firewire is backwards compatible. And yes, we do sell these cables.
