Lost Adjustments.
I lost all adjustments to my RAW files prior to July 2018. After that date the adjustment are OK.
To be exact, the adjustment files are where they belong, they just are not connected to the RAW files they are meant to adjust, Is there a way to reconnect them> Please advise.

You'll need to tell us more. Catalog or session? Where are the images stored? When you say that the adjustment files are where they belong, what do you mean - where are they?

Also - what happened on or just before July? 0 -

It's a catalog. The catalog is stored on an internal volume, the image and xmp files are on an external volume.
This happened about a week ago, now. I have since tried archived catalog version - from time machine - that go back several month, and the have the same problem. So I assume this is a software issue. It happened shortly after I upgraded to 12.1.1.7.0 -
I had a very similar problem using sessions. You need to contact Capture one support so they know what's happening. I haven't had a satisfactory solution to this problem other than to roll back to 12.0.3. My guess is that the adjustment files are becoming corrupted and C1 is overwriting them with new adjustment files as soon as you open it up. 0 -

Overwriting seems to be a possibility. I took copies of the catalog more than a year old from Time Machine, opened them in 12.1.1.7, and they lost adjustments right away.0 -
BTW, how to I reset the catalog so it will open in a previous version of C1? 0 -
If you opened an earlier version of a catalogue - say a V11 catalogue - in V12 you would have been asked to upgrade the catalog. If you did this (it would not continue if you did not as far as I am aware) the process of making the updates required would also have created a saved copy of the previous version of existing version of the catalogue with as a backup with a changed name.
To be able to work with the previous version of the catalogue and the older version of C1 just rename the save version - or, probably better, save another copy of the saved catalog and rename that.
Of course this assumes that you have not somehow removed that backup copy whilst try to solve you problem.
This process is documented in various places but as I am not a catalog user I don't have quick reference links to the items you should read.
It has been discussed in the forum a number of times and the Release Notes may offer guidance. Maybe someone with direct experience of the process could comment?

Just in case something similar is going on for you.....
I had an issue a couple of times where I imported and created YYYY/MM/DD folders for files as my import process.
When I later deleted images sometimes the whole folder (for a day) would be deleted even if images existed in that folder.
Collections worked fine. But would disappear from the folder tool.
Solution is to add the folders back using the folder tool.
I gave up and moved to a YYYY/MON and access images through filters instead. At the end of the day in a catalog with properly attributed metadata the actual folder structure is largely irrelevant except when accessing outside of C1.
C1 support meant to be working on it. Never worked out if it was if when you deleted all images for an import and C1 deletes that import - whether it carried on and deleted the whole day folder in this scenario is possible even if the day folder may include images from different imports.0 -
I've been experiencing intermittent loss of adjustments on my RAW files while using Capture One Pro 12.1.1. Just today I renamed 165 RAW files via "Find and Replace" and as the batch rename was taking place, I watched in horror as all the layers and the associated adjustments just disappeared. I was left with 165 unprocessed RAW files.
Here are a few specifics:
1. As I capture the RAW files, I have Capture One convert them to .EIP files. (Made from Nikon D850 .NEF files.)
2. I am using a custom ICC profile made with X-Rite's ColorChecker Camera Calibration (version 2.0).
3. All the files are stored on an external hard drive connected to my Mac via Thunderbolt 2.
4. All the Cache files (Proxies and Thumbnails) are in place and seem to be named correctly.
5. The adjustments were made on four different layers.
6. This was a "Sessions" project.
FYI. I was fortunate to have a Time Machine backup of the Session folder and was able to restore the project. I then proceeded to batch rename the files from this restored project and everything worked just fine.
PS. Feedback on this post is not needed, I'm just adding what I experienced to this thread. I also submitt a ticket to Phase One with the same info.0
