Picture back into folder? It doesn't show - refresh?
Hi,
I removed a picture from a folder and later moved it back, but it doesn't show in the folder now? If I look in the windows explorer I see the picture. Anyway I can refresh folder in Capture One, so the picture show up again?
Kind regards

Did you move it back within Capture One or from Windows Explorer? Anyway, by changing folders in the Library, and change back, you refresh the folder in CO.
Note that sometimes you might not see an image after a move because it is not sorted automatically hence displayed as last image in the thumbnails. So besides refreshing a folder, resorting can be refreshing as well 😉.0 -

Thanks,
but how do I get it out of the library and back in? Can't find anyway to refresh or remove folders0 -
You can force a folder refresh in CO4 & 5 by opening a different folder and next go back and open the previous folder. In case you work with sessions you can either close and reopen a sessions or open a different session folder and return to your folder. 0 -

Seems like I have 10 thumbs - doesn't work for me. Have started new session called test and opened it. Then went back to the capture one session, stil no picture. The folder contains 272 pictures and it starts counting showing 272 pictures, but when finsihed counting it is 271 pictures.
I can't have it like this, all pictures that is moved out of folders, is not showing up again in Capture one...0 -

Questions: version of CO and Win and how did you move (see my first post in this thread)?0 -
I had version 5.06 I think and couldn't find the picture. Last evening I upgraded to version 5.1, still the same problem.
I copied the picture from windows explorer, when I moved it back.
Now I just tried to move it from the "move to folder" to the original folder it came from - I just drag and dropp within the C1 program. Still doesn't help. When I dragged and dropped it, I got a warning that the folder already contained this picture, and I said yes to replace it - but didn't help. I still see the picture in the folder when in windwos explorer, but it does not show up in C1.
What a relief it would be to just have a "refresh" option in this program![quote="Paul_E" wrote:

I would next exit CO then try deleting the proxy for the photo (.cop & .cof in the cache\proxies), maybe even the settings file (.cos). Restart CO and see if it rebuilds the preview then. 0 -

That worked - thanks!
Now if they only could implement a "refresh button"0 -
An "unofficial" refresh might be to change the Proof Profile, as this will cause an adjustment to occur to all the Proxie files. I'd be interested to know if this works for you, that is if you ever come up against the same set of circumstances. Also, if that same issue does occur again, it might be possible to look in the Proxie/Cache folders and see if there is a Proxie or Setting file for the phantom file. If so, it might be possible to just delete those and then swap from folder to folder for Capture One to reread the RAW and generate new workable Proxie and Settings files. 0
