Nikon D80 Colour Space Issues

I have to say I do find the sections pertaining to colour management a bit challenging. My problem is Capture Le reports my raw files ( while viewing..pre-processed) as sRGB when in fact the cs should be adobe as Nikon View and other programs report. In addition it appears all exif is stripped from the post processed jpegs, but not on tiffs.

I must be missing something simple somewhere..but where?

  Rob,
  
  There is no color space for a RAW file. This is set at Processing.
  You likely see the meta data indicating a color space, and this is what is set in-camera and applied to in-camera processed files... JPEGs
  
  At the Color Management Settings window, whatever color space
  is set for Destination ( working space ) is the color space that the Thumbnails
  and Preview files will be displayed in.
  
  Current version is 3.7.6 and the Release Notes state:
  Known issues
  • Some meta data fields are not applied correctly when outputting to jpeg format
  
  Developers are working to solve this issue and likely will be done for Final LE 4.0 version.
