Basic Color Editor tab does not work in Local Adjustments

    That is correct. In other words, it is not intended to work.

    I can not answer that for you, I am afraid, because I do not know the design decision.

    However, the Basic editor is of little use (and was a CO Express 6 tool) if you have the Advanced editor.

    there is one essential difference between the Basic and the Advanced Color Editor: in the Basic Color Editor Saturation is designed as "smart saturation". In the Advanced Color Editor Satruation acts like conventional saturation.

    The Basic Color Editor also works with Smart Saturation.
    Essentially Smart Saturation is a compression method to avoid color clipping.
