In the Import Images dialog there is a Naming section. In the Format field you can click on the button at the right of it. This opens the Naming Format dialog.
Place the required tokens in the Format line, by dragging or double clicking. Note that several tokens have multiple formats hidden under a triangle symbol in the token.
Try to experiment with it and save your results in a preset with a meaningful name like 'Import Rename'.

This button I´ve found and also the token. But there are not so many token, as I need. I need the exact date of the picture yyyymmdd_hhmmss What there is, is yy-mm-dd and hh-mm . How I could edit these? 0 -
You should combine the tokens for Image Year (yyyy), Image Month (MM) and Image Day of Month. This will give you a notation like 20130816 (as for 16 Aug 2013). Regarding the time stamp your options are limited to Image Time (HH-mm) or (h-mm a); no seconds in notation. 0 -
And when it will be realised? The Sec are a MustHave in my business. I need exact dates in documentation. I can´t believe it, that simple freeware could read all EXIF-Information and P1 not. 0 -

As a user I think you have a valid point here. I suggest you open a support case and do a feature request. This is the proper way to have your suggestion logged.0 -
Has there been any progress regarding this?
I have the same issue, where my file naming convention is done in Photo Mechanic 5 - YYYYMMDD-Name-FRAME or YYYYMMDD-Name-HHMMSSXX (the XX is tens). Also, if I change the file name in C1 Pro 7 the PM5 instantly reads the change. However, if I make a file name change in PM5 then C1 Pro 7 does not read the XMP file change and I have to re-locate the individual files! NB this is with "Full Sync" set in the preferences.
Not a major issue at all but would be more efficient if C1 Pro 7 could full read XMP files.
