Thumbnail generation failed with 5D images !
Good morning,
Each time I want to import images taken with my Canon 5D, i can't get the thumbs generated ,
This is strange, because I don't have that problem with images I import from my Leaf Aptus 22 digital back?
It is not possible the work properly with the imported 5D images, in the way that I cannot turn the previews in the right direction !!
What am I overlooking here?
Thanks
Johny

Help us to get the picture: version of OS X & Capture One? Do you use DB edition? Import from card or tethering? Thumb generation in import dialog or main window's browser? Did it work in the past? What has changed? Older 5D image OK? 0 -
I use Mac os 10.6.3
Capture one 5.1.1
I import from card
I do not understand what you mean by: DB edition?
I got the warnings in the Events panel, even when I reopen the map the images where imported to:
This is the warning:
Description: Cannot generate thumbnail from proxy file: too few color profiles
File: /Volumes/Iomega HD/RAW_DATA/Canon/Sari2/CaptureOne/Cache/Proxies/_MG_0020.CR2.cop
Domain: com.phaseone.captureone
Code: 23
The images where taken yesterday with my 5D, so I suppose they are not "older"images 😊
Hope to helped you out with this info and even more, you can hand me a solution .
Thanks a lot .0 -
My assumption is that the OS X 10.6.3 update might have caused this. As you can see here in the forum, there are quite a few similar posts, all having 10.6.3 (and Canon?) in common. See knowledgebase article

and try to follow up on the instructions.0 -
Well, I did as asked for, and when I trust the events window, the thumbs are generated all right !
But what happens next is strange:
When I select a group of images to rotate them, that works indeed. But, when I try to select another image in order to rotate that as when, after a second our two, the application crashes !0 -
Time to get to the bottom of your issues: open a support case with Phase One. I think that is the best advice I can give you now. 0
