Computer Freezing Up and Having to Force Shut Down
Has ANYONE else experienced while using Capture One Pro lately their Mac locking up and freezing on them having no other option than to do a hard reset by holding down the power button to shut down? I am running 10.6.8 and C1 6.2.2 and never experienced this before on my system and seems to only happen while in Capture One Pro. This is VERY tough to workaround and really curious to hear if others have experienced this as well. Thanks.

If you have not repaired permissions with the Disk Utility, then I suggest that you do that as a first step. Disk repair is always advisable after updating the OS. If that does not help, then consider re-building the drive with some third party software, such as Drive Genius. If that fails, then submit a support case to Phase One.

I also have this problem on a mac pro tower 2.2.4Quad-core intel xeon with 16gb ram, os 10.6.7 0 -
I had this issue and eventually called my Applecare Protection plan number. They were very helpful. It was partly a memory issue, partly a disk repair issue and there were various other spring cleaning things we did which got the machine running faster. Disk utility definitely helped. I was about an hour on the phone to them doing various things and afterwards all was well. 0
