Effective handling of Metadata
Hy,
is there an effectiv way to write Metadate (for eample Keywords) to one or more Photos. Unfortunately at the import of Photo the Metadata section only has two fields (Copyright and Caption). To write the metadata, which is the same for all the photos (Title, Photographer, some Keywords, Country, Location etc.) would be a great improvement. Has this not yet be implemented, or ist that not planned to be there. Also in the register Metadata, working with the metadata is not practical and effective.
Do I use C1 the wrong way or shall C1 not be a program, which can handle metadata in an effective way?

You can copy/paste the metadata from one picture to another (or all selected) with no problem 0 -
OK, when I have imported all photos I must tag one of them, copy these metadata to the other photos an then do the individual tags for each photo. Is that right?
Two further questions:
To write the Keywords, s ther only the way to klick on + for each Keyword? This ist not very handy.
What, when all photos have their individual Keywords and i have an additional Keyword for all Photos. How can I assign this Keyword to all photos, without touching/overwriting the existing Keywords0 -
Two tips to handle metadata in CO7 for a faster workflow.
First, on import or later, you can use a style/preset of metadata. Enter your stationary in one image, save it as a preset and apply it in the Styles feature in the import dialog. Additionally you can apply a preset at any time to all selected images (like older images or images that were not imported) in one stroke.
Next, with the Filter tool (Library tool tab) you can add metadata like keywords very fast and selectively. Just drop your image or a selection of images on the keyword!
You can use one image with all keywords to make them all available in the Filter tool and use the drag-and-drop method described.0 -
Hy Paul,
thanks for this tipps. I have to try them this evening at home.
Is there a videotutorial for working with metadata? I haven't found one.0 -
