The mac book pro OS 10.6.2 detects the camera, but the program does not, so I cant shoot.

I'm having the same issues with my Nikon D300 and Canon 5D MkII.

I had been successfully shooting tethered into Capture One 5.0. I recently updated to 5.1.2 and the software is unable to detect any of the cameras. I've tried reconfiguring the software, resetting the cameras and changing the USB cables, but nothing seems to work. I reinstalled Capture One 5.0 and there is no problem there.

    Any suggestions?

Recent macbook pros have an underpowered USB port - try another one. At least the 2x 17inch i7's I have won't connect on the one closest to the keyboard. Try the one closest to the power adapter.
