No focus

I had this phenomenon likewise last week. I opend a support ticket.
I found out my CaptureOne V6.0 did 'crash' a few times on my iMac Quad, probably I was working too fast for the application to cope with me: I was dragging batches of files to new folders (manual sorting).

What you call 'no focus' I would call the effect that the image does not resolve to high resolution in the viewer. The resolution remains that of the thumbnail. No handling of the RAW (DNG) file will help at a certain moment anymore (such as making a new variant).

[technically. i investigated what went wrong. The result: more than 800 'broken pipes' - which is a message I saw in the iMac console.]

Anyway, I installed version 6.2.2, and with this install everything was automatically cleaned up too (the database).

    - Note, that if you have own ICC profiles in the profile section of C1, then the new update will discard them, you must place them there by hand again.

    success albert

Pedro, try give some more details about your setup, versions, files and what you specifically mean with 'doesn't focus' (in the viewer, the focus windows?)

In case you placed your updates in the program's application folder, then they are removed during the update. Hence, you are advised to place any custom profile in the user's folder for that purpose: ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles

Well I've just install the Capture one 6.2.2 again and it is well now, so if this appends again I have to do this again?

Software re-installation is the latest of option I currently would think of, but that's me. Can you give a more detailed description of what is not focussing?

Version of OS X is? Are you using OpenCL (Preferences, General tab)

In the mean time I suggest to renew your session file (or Library file), batch queue and preferences. See for details step 4, 5 and 6 in this article:

Don't know. Probably the reinstallation did reset some settings. See my previous post for alternative suggestions.

Great tip, Paul, Had a look & did find some old col 45 files. Didn't do harm I think, but deleted them anyway.
(It is from a V5 test set I installed in 2009/2010 next to old V4). Albert

That is correct. When you are on CO6 you can safely delete *.col45 files when similar *.col50 files exist.
