Reinstalling on the same computer

I have sometimes a problem with CO 4.8.1 PRO wenn I want to start it. I become a failure-message and the programstart stops. Now I want to deinstall the program and download and reinstall it again on the same computer. Have I first to deactivate the program for this action?

    No, you do not have to deactivate your current installation of CO 4.x, when you perform a deinstall-install cycle. Activation is not affected by deinstallation and the new installation will automatically use the current activation.
