Thumbnails out of order with Canon 5D

Whernever our 5d is disconnected or restarted the thumbnails do not resume in order but insert themselves at intervals among the previous images. It doesn't happen with the 1ds. Anything I can do to change this?

    Sean,

    Sort must be by Name.
    Change the Preference at Thumbnails > Sorting to Creation Date and they will be in Shot Order.

    If file names are now out of sequence, use the Batch Rename tool to fix.
