Missing .col50 file (Time Sensitive)

I am missing a session file. The images very well could be inside another session file, hard to say at this point. Is there a way to reverse track the .col file with the settings or recreate a session file?

I have located all the .nef.cos files which reside in the CaptureOne/Settings50 folder.

  Good to know: the session file is not related to the settings files (*.cos).
  Another good to know: you can renew the session file by creating a new session with the same name in the same location. This will not impact any image file or adjustments.

  the problem is I don't know where this session file would be initially when it is created, so I don't know where to put it...

  Just create a new session with a new name to your liking in a location to your liking. Next, in Finder, you move the image folder, which contains the settings50 sub folder, to the new session folder. Next, open the session in Capture One and browse to the image folder from the Library tool.
