Can we please get rid of the junk postings?

This site is becoming a shadow of what it used to be. Fewer and fewer legitimate postings, some of which sit for days without answers or are not answered at all.
The amount of crap being posted (quick count of at least 20 just prior to this post) indicates the need for some strong administrative activity.

    Something is happening, I believe. This is not a normal situation here.
    Well, Ok, I've posted a question about a problem I have, and it has gone unanswered despite 120 reads...but maybe people doesn't have a thing to say about it. That might be considered "normal". .. but all this spam... I've never seen it here before.

    With all due respect - please explain what you mean by "junk and spam postings".

    When I scan down the various subjects they appear to be legitimate questions, topics, etc. When I read some of the threads the conversation seems to be legitimate too. Sure sometimes I read some venting or frustration but I read that on other forums I belong to also and I think that's OK as long as it's not overdone.

    The posting was made back in November. At the time, there were heaps of irrelevant junk postings regularly appearing (porn, finance offers, etc.) and it was obvious that insufficient moderation was being done. That was over 2 months ago.
    The site was then closed for a couple of months, and I agree, since it's re-launch, its seems to be under control, and the site is performing its intended function.
    I think my post at the time was more than justified, I wasn't just having a rant!

    This should be secure and under control now.
    It got out-of-hand about Thanksgiving Holiday in US when our offices were
    closed for Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun - and upon arriving Monday it took quite a while to clean up the Forum from unwanted postings.
    More clean-up since launch last week, but should be done.
    Please let us know if you find something or begin to see problems.
