Capture One Pro 5.1.1 & WB
I have been highly pleased with CO 5.1 which has worked very well and delivered its habitual high-quality results in the framework of the excellent workflow with which we've become accustomed. I'm wondering whether a change has been made in 5.1.1 regarding the values in the White Balance sliders. I'm getting odd fractional results with the Tint slider, and the Kelvin slider now rises in 25° increments whereas I believe it rose previously in 50° steps (when using the keyboard arrow keys). Using the arrow keys with the Tint slider now offers 0.5 increments. I believe that this was different earlier, although I'm wondering whether my memory is faulty. Does this reflect greater sensitivity, or an overall change in the WB assessment of the converter?

This is correct. In 5.1.1 you can set white balance (Kelvin & Tint) sliders in smaller increments with the keyboard allowing for a more fine tuned result. I am personally happy with it for in particular for the Tint slider. 0 -
Thank you Paul. Absolute values haven't changed, I take it ? 0 -

That's my assumption as well and still live happy with the idea 😉0 -
Yup, just stumbled across that as well, slick idea.
I just wish some functions would not apply to all pictures in the session but only the one or few chosen, like the focus check overlay.
I had big complaints on the way C1 was taxing my hardware (8core/32Gig Ram) before V5, this in deed has much improved.
Still, I guess I never will get used to that proxy file cash philosophy, I often wonder whether I am the only one who dislikes that to the bone. Looking at blurred pictures when you change a parameter, well, not my cup of tea.
Apart from that, I am still relatively new in Capture, I use it at the moment as my dominant RAW converter, then whack them to Lightroom.
I wonder about the usage of ICC profiles in C1 and a DNG profile afterwards in Lightroom, still inconclusive to me, but it seems to work.
Best
