Overlay tool
Hello,
Does anyone know if there is a way to make the the image in the viewer window smaller than "fit to view" so that when using the overlay tool I can see the whole overlay and the image at the same time, even if the image is just a small part of whole layout.
Frequently I have an overly document, say a magazine page and the image is just a small part of the page. If I scale up the overlay larger, it extends off the preview window screen so I can no longer see the text of the overlay.
This is also a problem when the overlay is a vertical page and the image is horizontal. Say the top half for example.
The work around of processing an image and bringing into photoshop kind of defeats the purpose of the overlay tool.
Any suggestions? Is this a known limitation of the overlay tool, or am I just missing something?
Thanks,
Daniel

Just got a reply to my support case from Phase One. Apparently this is not possible. Does anyone have a good work around?

yes, don't use the C1 overlay tool but use this instead;

Your overlay will be completely independent of your C1 session and you can resize it to the desired scale.0
