focus utility

When I detach the focus utility window to view it as a larger window, it seems to have a size limit of about 1300 pixles wide. I just purchased a new G5 and 23\" Apple display with Mac OS 10.4. The resolution of the screen is 1920 x 1200. If I enlarge the focus utility window past about 75% of the screen it displays a scramble of horizontal lines. If i lower the display resolution to 1344 x 1008 the focus utility is able to fill the screen. I tried to stretch it larger, same scrambled lines. This happens on all the different sessions i've tried with raw files from a P25 back and Canon 1Ds Mark II. This size limit is very dissapointing. I use the full screen focus check all the time to show my clients the quality and detail of the P25.
Do you think this is a Tiger issue or a display resolution issue.
Any one else with a large screen run into this?

    Yes Daniel, I experience the same behavior using Tiger, a dual processor G5, 4GB ram and CO v3.7.1

    Same here both in Panther and Tiger with a 30\" Display. I can get approx. 50 % before the scrambled picture appears.
