possible to create a session from selects?

is it possible to create a new session from selects when working in a session or catalog? i guess i could also duplicate (or replicate) the session in the finder and delete the files i do not want from that copy and save it as a new session....just wanted to know if there was a more elegant way....

    Not really no.

    I personally would just pack those images as EIP files, dump them into a new folder, and create a new session with those images though - instead of duplicating the entire session and deleting what you don't want.

    Create the new session
    From the original session, select what you want; File -> Export -> Originals (include settings) to the directory in the new session
    Open the new session after export completes.
