Rebuilding the Trash Folder
C1Pro 3.7.4 windows PC
I thought I was adding a folder/collection, and was pointing C1 to the images I wanted to display. What I really did was redefine the Trash Folder. I deleted an image and it appears in what C1 now sees as trash. I'm afraid if I empty my trash, I will really erase all the photos for this job.
But I can't delete the ones I want to either.
Is there some way to \"recreate\" the trash file?

Andy,
Not sure how you've changed the Trash folder, I've been unsuccessful in doing so.
Any ways, you'll notice that when an image is Deleted or Sent to Trash from a Session it remains in the Session folder but becomes tagged with .Trashed
From the Trash or your New Trash folder, you can drag&drop images back into any Session tab and the RAW will be untagged .Trashed
Move all the files you don't want to lose back into their respective Sessions.
Then close program and browse to
C:/Program Files / Phase One / Capture One PRO / Preferences and find the file preferences.pf and delete
Launch Capture One and this file will be rebuilt to default and the Trash should be restored.
You will lose all preference settings so they'll have to be reestablished.

Neat, I'll give it a try when I get back to the confused computer. I understood the file extension thing. What is wierd is that the folder that C1 sees as trash right now IS a session folder. Hmmmmmmmmmmm..... 0 -
Andy,
We had a debate here in Support and some of us lost... 😕
Browse to same location and delete the FolderList.fld file and then upon relaunch it will rebuild and Trash tab restored.
Cheers,
