Why Media Pro SE?
I used to use iView Media Pro 15 years ago ..... then it transitioned to Microsoft then Capture One.
I moved to Aperture to catalog my images (Approx 100,000) then had to find other software when Apple ceased development of Aperture. I tried Lightroom but find it unintuitive and you can't change keyboard shortcuts etc. There are some great parts to it but overall i am not a fan. My question is why do we need Media Pro SE when Capture One offers a catalog section. Sessions or Catalog...... I wish Capture One would have integrated it better. It seems to be a strange workaround to have to overwrite metadata and regenerate previews etc. Why did they not just make the catalog work better..... rather than grind to a halt when you have only a few thousand images (referenced or managed) What is the advantage of Media Pro when surely Capture One should have this ability already...... as Lightroom / Aperture etc have done for many years.

4. Offline work.
i was asking this befor ,,, to put Media Pro build inside Capture One
the same like NIKON VIEW NX-i and NIKON NX-D works
but they came out only with the Keywords Manager in C1 9 Virsion .0 -

Since you used to use iView Media Pro, you should know that the advantage of Media Pro is to have a standalone DAM that catalogs various types of files, including RAW files, agnostic
of RAW editor. Some people do not own or use Capture One. Some people own a variety of RAW editors (Nikon Capture NX2, Photoshop, Capture One, etc.) and enjoy the flexibility of using the editor of their choice, then cataloging their images in a database separate from the editor.
Phase One one day might succeed in fully integrating cataloguing functionality into Capture One, but obviously that task has proven more difficult than Phase One realized. Until they do succeed, and even after, I hope Phase One continues to offer and develop Media Pro as a standalone DAM.0 -

I agree with you. MP is also for people that prefer to use C1 sessions rather than C1 catalogs.
Does MP offer benefits over C1 catalogs? I don't use catalogs so I would be a while figuring that out..0
