2015 iMac5k performance w/ Capture 9
Has anyone had issues Capture 9.3 and Maxed 4.0GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, 64GB Ram, 1TB Flash Storage
AMD Radeon R9 M395X with 4GB video memory connected to Gtech 24 TB Gspeed studio.
It's intended to be a capture station for with a Canon 5Dr, shooting 300 - 400 images per day.
I'm upgrading from the last non Retina 27in iMac i& Processor/32GB Ram/1 TB SSD and 2GB video card. It runs great!
Apple didn't announce a upgraded MacPro or iMac's today, Just 15in MacBook Pro with TBolt 3.
I would love to get a Mac Pro but, finances dictate a all in one $4500 Retina iMac with a powered USB-3 BC Hub.
I know there were some teething issues and performance issues when the unit first came out with Capture 8 and 9 (files rendering slowly and slow redraw with adjustment brushes).
With El Cap and Capture 9.3 has the performance issues (either Apple or Phase one) been solved?
Thanks
Brian

Ihave the late 2015 iMac 27" with M390X GPU, 1TB Fusion drive.
COP 9.3 performance is OK but definitely runs a bit faster when I moved all the files to an external Samsung 850evo drive connected via USB3. Likely even faster with an SSD main drive.
However I have a speed issue with the filters tool when used in the all images folder and >10,000 images - the SSD drive does not improve this problem. I have a workaround whereby I move the Filters tool to a custom toll tab - I only use it in catalog folders.
I note that the M395X is actually a different series than the M380X and M390X.
Here is a posting from a user with an M395X and some open CL issues:0
